Faye Glover

Mrs. Faye Lorene Glover, age 98 of Bolivar, MO, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2019, in Citizens Memorial Healthcare Facility Bolivar, MO. She was born August 30, 1920, in Dadeville, MO, to Cook and Effie (Glenn) Davis. She was united in marriage to Washington Dale Glover December 19, 1942, and to this union two sons were born.
During WWII Faye moved several times while Dale was overseas until a year after the war was over. After the war Dale went to mortician’s school and they bought into the Hulbert-Glover Funeral Home in Joplin, MO, before moving to Bolivar, when they started working for Teters Floral Products. Faye retired from Teters Floral Products around 1985.
Faye is a devout Christian and a member of the First Baptist Church of Bolivar. Her door was always open, people loved to come and visit, and were greeted with a warm smile and hot meal. She was a good listener and gave great advice, but mostly she was well known for her cooking. She was very artistic with her paintings, and talented in sewing and quilting. She was a devoted wife, and is a loving mother and grandmother. She loved children and was a tremendous baby whisperer.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 60 years Washington Dale Glover; and a brother Leo Davis.
She is survived by two sons: Albert Glover and his wife Angela of Dothan, AL, and David Glover and his wife Janice (Sells) of Warrensburg, MO; eight grandchildren: Kristen Glover Sooter, Sonny Glover, Justin Glover, Cook Glover, Drew Glover, Spencer Glover, Angela Hall, and John Glover; 13 great grandchildren; as well as other relatives and friends.
There will be a visitation one hour before services from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at Pitts Chapel with Rev. Billy Russell officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery Bolivar, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to ________________ .
